THE MINIMALIST POSTERITY
Our Mission
The Wasteless World team aims to minimize the amount of material that is wasted all over the world. Our central goal is not to raise awareness, but to establish a society in which the three R's have become a natural part of daily life.
Why Wasteless World?
Humans produce over 3.5 million tons of solid waste every 24 hours. As of 2015, scarcely twenty percent of the amount of total waste produced was recycled. A significantly larger quantity of waste was discarded or incinerated rather than recycled: a trend that will most definitely have detrimental effects on the environment and ourselves in the coming future.
Incineration and landfills are the leading cause of air pollution throughout the world today. Continued air pollution can result in a plethora of respiratory conditions and diseases, such as lung cancer and asthma.
"The quantity of trash makes [waste management] unsustainable," says Janet Kalish, an environmental activist based in New York City, USA.
The amount of plastic that are not recyclable, Kalish continued, contribute to our struggle of pursuing a sustainable system. Businesses that focus on reducing waste rather than "managing it" are much more attractive and impressive, according to Kalish.
"Composting is a sustainable way to redirect food waste," explained Kalish.

In Wasteless World, our dream is to reverse, reduce, and repurpose. We must reverse our wasteful lifestyles and work harder to conserve. By making efforts to save, we must reduce the amount of garbage that we produce. Lastly, we must learn to repurpose: to find use in things we once considered to be waste.
